Individuals applying for either Dental Assisting or Dental Front Office courses are required to:
a. Interview with an admissions counselor
b. Be at least 17 years of age (applicants under the age of 18 require written permission from a parent or legal guardian in order to enroll; if applicant is still enrolled in a secondary school (high school), they must have written approval from a school official where they are enrolled)
c. Present proof of secondary education (high school or GED certificate)
d. Admissions will be accepted up to 5 days prior to the course start date. This allows time to procure all required documentation and materials.
e. Dental Assisting students must provide their own clinical scrubs at all times while attending class and externship assignments. Scrubs are relatively inexpensive and may be obtained through a number of retailers in the area. An example internet search on SCRUBS LEWISVILLE will produce a number of sources.
THERE ARE NO OTHER PREREQUISITES FOR THIS COURSE.
